FOOD SERVICE TRUCK DRIVER
Job Description
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: The Food Service Director. This is an hourly position with work days being when school is in session.
Requirements:
- Load carts with the things from the need list.
- Help put up inventory.
- Hauls food carts to four (4) different schools.
- Keep food truck clean.
- Keep truck fueled up.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, and other food service personnel.
- Punctual in all assignments.
- Observes all District policies appropriate to this position.
- Accepts responsibility of assigned task.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid Fingerprint Card.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
There is a ninety (90) day probationary period. At that time the employee shall be evaluated by his/her supervisor. If the evaluation is favorable, the employee shall continue to work for the District. An unfavorable evaluation shall result in termination.
JOB STATUS:
- There is no tenure in this position
- This position is paid on an hourly basis
- All employees shall be evaluated twice each year
BENEFITS:
- Food Service employees earn one-half (1/2) day sick leave per month worked.
- To qualify for step increase on July 1 of any year, an individual must have been employed continuously for the number of years prescribed:
1 – 2 years Step 1
3 – 5 years Step 2
Over 5 years Step 3
An employee must be employed for more than half of the school year, the first year, to get credit for that year.
